Holy Land Pilgrimage 8

This is taken from the rooftop restaurant at the Guest House.  The statue between the two parapets is Mary, since the place is called Notre Dame.

The next morning we headed to the Upper Room or Cenacle or Coenaculum.

King David, as musician, outside a music school.

Inside the Church is very simple.  This is possibly the place Jesus had the Last Supper.

These are a couple of young Israeli soldier head to music class with their instruments and weapons.

I don't know if this was a birthday party of what.

This is the Church of the Dormition or where Mary went to sleep or died, the Church does not say specifically.

Image of Mary at the end of her life before the Assumption.

Those where all in the Church of the Dormition.

The reddish roof covers a model of ancient Jerusalem and the building behind it is St. Peter in Gallicantu, or where he heard the cock crow.

It is actually built in three levels.

These next pictures are all of the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu

Upper church.

Simpler middle level church.
