Week five, part IV

Here is actually the marathon of churches.  These first ones were from last Saturday when I spent eight hours walking around Rome.  You may want to get a snack or get to the bathroom before you start this session.
These first pictures are from San Giuseppe alla Lungara, or  Saint Joseph in Lungara.

                                                  This San Giovanni Calibita Church is a kind of embassy church
                                                    on an island across from St. Bartholomew Church.

 It was hard to tell if these were relics or memorials at the cross.

Above is the explanation in Italian of the relics or remembrances that are show below.  As you will see they had several side altars set up like this, mostly to remember martyrs.

         I couldn't make out these words to see whose relics were here.  Two different angles didn't even help.

                       This was the strangest one.  I searched the longest time for the Church of the Angels and I think this was all there was.

                     This is just a government building but below is a gothic church is am still trying to get into.

            Flat Stanley walked down a dark alley and simply found another beautiful courtyard, which is typical.
